Our Story
Make a Difference Sri Lanka (MDSL) is a UK registered charity which has been helping people into their development since its creation in 2011 through educational, farming, agricultural, and livelihood projects.
We aim to create long-term, self-sustaining development by helping communities rise and live dignified lives.
Our projects generate livelihoods and develop industries and infrastructure built by the community using skills learned through our programs.
We invite you to join hands with us, share your thoughts, ideas, and views, and see how best you can contribute financially or otherwise to MDSL.
Help Us make a difference!
Help us generate real development for our people, create sustainability, and bring smiles to those still struggling. Cultivate economic development to eradicate poverty from this region.
Our Voices
Ratnaswamy Muthukumar
Project Manager
I am Kumar! Director, Trustee and Project Manager with MDSL. I always believed that development to people could be brought about by raising knowledge through teachings and trainings. For vulnerable people both these areas are not easily accessible.
Having identified these as the important factors, we at MDSL designed our projects to suit. Since March 2011 we travelled on this line of thought. So far, we sailed successfully by serving hundreds of people and families with educational projects to create job opportunities and trainings. Yet, there is more to achieve… Kind regards.
David Rajoopillai
Trustee
I have been a long-time friend of Muthukumar and have always been impressed by his unwavering dedication to his work at MDSL since 2011. The projects are thoughtfully designed and create job opportunities, effectively contributing to eradication of poverty in the region.
This is one of the many reasons I decided to join him in his efforts. I am honoured to serve as a trustee of MDSL, not only making financial contributions but also actively supporting the future developments of MDSL. All the best, David!
